MEMORIAL NORTH HOSPITAL

Our challenge for the Memorial Health Systems North Hospital, was balancing the contemporary architecture, high tech hospital and an environment focused on patients and the healing process. Our color palettes relate to views from each of three towers sited to face unique elements of Colorado Springs - City, Forest and Mountain Flora. Materials were selected for their life cycle assessment, but the aesthetic is light hearted. Abundant day lighting throughout the towers, capitalizes on 360 degree views. Local art adds a sense of community in the space. Central gathering spaces on each floor give families respite and encourage them to become “care partners”.
